EMPOWER Group for Homeless Women

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT 5PM-7PM

Every Wednesday night, we open our arms to our local homeless women. We give them clothing, condoms (so they don't procreate out of wedlock), and chatisy belts (to reduce sexual assualts). We also provide them the option to be hosed down, so they are fresh for our group. Sermons are preached by Rev. Megan Ruzicka.

Every week, we discuss a new topic and host a related craft. Previous nights include:

- "How your choices made you homeless" sermon with a vision board craft.

- "Why miscarriages happen to bad people" sermon with a design-your-dream-child drawing activity

- "How to Guilt People into Giving to Those in Need (AKA YOU!)" sermon with how to design an effective begging sign craft to maximize donations

- "Why Stopping Abortion is More Important than caring for Foster Children" sermon with a design an anti-abortion protest sign. We surprised the women with a field trip to an abortion clinic and an impromptu protest ensued!

Contact us to donate clothing, craft supplies, soap and condoms.

Homeless Preperation Camp

IL

The first Saturday of every month.

Lately, many families are struggling to stay afloat. We like to help our parishioners, so Rev. Megan Ruzicka created a homeless preperation vacation (HPV) to teach families how to survive on the streets. She was homeless for 10 years and has a lot of real-life experience to share.

Lessons include:

--10 Ways to use a Bible on the street

--How to defend yourself by throwing feces and other methods

--How to get off of the streets by creating a hit and run scenario, robbing and other methods

--How to create the best begging signs

--How to find shelter while homeless

Horses for The Homeless

Transportation is often a struggle for the homeless. At Sacred Heart, we have a horse donation program. That way, homeless folk can get around easier. We accept new and used horses.

Pictured is Rev. Megan Ruzicka with a homeless family. As you can see, they have all of their belongings on their backs with their new horse. Contact Rev. Megan Ruzicka to donate: (402) 677-2226. Happy trotting!

Poor Prom (PP)

Bi-Anually (Contact us for More Details)

Many impoverished indivduals missed out on prom growing up. All of God's children deserve to go to prom. If you are baptised in the only real church, then please reach out to us. We will provide the dresses, makeup and venue. Bring your own food and alcohol. Contact us to donate to the venue fee or to give us old dresses (minimal stains and rips, please)

Pictured is our last prom. We hosed off four improverished indivduals and made them over with makeup, used dresses and Jesus sandals. Sam, the girl who is second from the far left, remarked "I never realized that I could look pretty. This is truly a miracle from God."  While dancing, we ensure that everyone eaves room for Jesus. Come experience s prom and come to PP!
